Is bikini line lasering painful?

The bikini line / pubic area is a sensitive area. So yes you will feel it a little bitbut it's for a good cause

• The treatment is not completely painless but is well worth it.
• They are short laser shots that are perceived as irritating rather than painful.
• Because of the unique cooling system in the laser, your top layer of skin suffers little from all the heat, making the treatment less sensitive.
• The feeling when a laser pulse enters the skin is similar to a small rubber band or pinprick.
• After treatment, the skin may become red and warm to the touch. This will not cause any further discomfort.

Hair removal with the latest technology

The Triple Laser is one of thenewest and most efficient lasersin the field of laser hair removal. This laser sends pulses into the skin, with the heat being absorbed by the melanin in the hairs. The heat causes such damage to the hair follicle that hairs no longer grow back.

It is important that you have not had any resin, wax, or epilation treatments for at least 6 weeks prior to treatment. This is because these hair removal techniques also remove and weaken the hair root, preventing the laser from targeting the hair follicle.

How many treatments are needed until the desired result is achieved?

On average, you will need 6 to 8 treatments. This depends on your skin and hair type. It is generally known that laser hair removal works best on a light skin type with dark hair. Even with the latest laser technology, this is still true.

Nevertheless, there are more and more lasers that also work on less difference between skin and hair. So this allows us to treat the less dark hairs on light skin, and also treat better on the somewhat darker skin types.

Our Triple Laser also works this way, due to its 3 different wavelengths. BUT we do see that people need more sessions than the classic dark/hard hairs on paler skin.

There is an average of 6 to 8 weeks between each treatment. It has no more positive effect to come earlier than the recommended intervals! On the contrary.

GOLDEN RULE with laser hair removal: come to your next session only when your hair is regrowing. So the moment you want to bring out your razor again, you should actually book your next appointment for the laser

How does bikini line lasering work?

We try to make you as comfortable as possible. We understand that you may feel uncomfortable. Please try to relax, because the more tense you are, the more sensitive the treatment will be.

1. Please shave your hairs short in advance (they should be at least 1 mm long) So shave a few days before.
2. If the hairs are still a little too long, we will shave to the correct length ourselves.
3. We apply a cold gel, this provides cooling and better laser penetration through the hair.
4. We check with you to see if you can tolerate it well and do try to get as high an energy as possible so we can treat efficiently.
5. After the session, you will get another special cream smeared on the skin that will reduce redness and itching.
6. Immediately after the laser session, your skin will feel a little warm and possibly show redness. This is not always the case, but is certainly part of a normal reaction of your skin.
7. You are ready! No sun, sauna or pool for the first 3 days now your session!

The treatment head is of course disinfected with alcohol after each treatment , so that the treatment is performed hygienically. For hygienic reasons, we do not treat during menstruation, also because everything is a little more sensitive then.

Important after lasering the bikini line and pubic area:

• do not expose skin to heat sources (hot shower or saunas, etc.) for up to 72 hours
• do not lie in the sun with the treated area
• no pools with chlorine

What is the difference between lasering the bikini line and pubic area?

With us, there is no difference, that is, we include both the Venus mound, labia and also between the buttocks (the starlet) during our session.

Should you still want to leave something on the pubic area, such as a stripe, a heart,...you name it, we just laser around that.

Underarms and bikini line lasering

We are often asked if it is also possible to laser the armpits and bikini line at the same time. This is certainly possible. You can laser as many zones as you want. This can all be done on the same day. So you do not have to make a separate appointment for each zone. It is best to note in your online appointment that multiple zones are involved so we can be sure to schedule enough time for you.

Remember at all times - so you don't do a session without results - you should only laser when hairs are growing. Only then are the hairs literally connected to the hair root. And only when the hairs are connected to the hair root can you get permanent hair removal and thus you will get an efficient laser hair removal session.

What things should I look out for just before a laser treatment?

• When you have just come from the sun, you should not have that area lasered, as the skin is tanned and contains more melanin which can cause a lot of energy from our laser to be lost. Moreover, you have more risk of burns. Preferably, you have not been in the sun or under a tanning bed for several weeks prior to your session.
• When you have laser hair removal performed, you may only shave. We require a hair length of 1 mm, so be sure your hair is not shorter when you come for your laser hair removal. Tweezing/waxing between your laser sessions is prohibited! Anything that involves pulling out the hair root is therefore prohibited!
• Drink plenty of water several days before your session so that proper controughion of energy can take place.
