TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Vacationer recently posted a Thanksgiving 2023 Food Survey online.
The anonymous survey asked participants to select popular Thanksgiving foods they disliked.
Over 1,013 American adults 18 or older filled out the survey using SurveyMonkey's interface/audience.
Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Rowan College South Jersey Eric Jones analyzed the survey.
Jones shared the following on the most disliked traditional Thanksgiving foods ranked by percentage of how many participants didn't like them:
- Cranberry sauce — 31.49%
- Sweet potatoes or yams — 29.22%
- Green bean casserole — 28.04%
- Turkey — 27.74%
- Stuffing/Dressing — 26.75%
- Ham — 25.57%
- Coleslaw — 25.57%
- Pumpkin pie — 24.28%
- Mashed potatoes — 18.66%
- Macaroni and cheese — 17.47%
- Carrots — 16.98%
- Apple pie — 16.29%
- Corn — 15.50%
- None of these, I like them all. — 13.82%
It should be noted that respondents were allowed to choose as many items as they wanted.
Vacationer said 2023 was the third year in a row where cranberry sauce ranked first as the most disliked traditional Thanksgiving food.
