Sinigang, the well-loved sour Filipino soup, made it to TasteAtlas’ list of 100 Best Dishes in the World, ranking 97th.

According to TasteAtlas’ website, the 100 dishes included in the list received the highest ratings based on over 395,000 user ratings.

Whether you prefer pork, shrimp, or milkfish sinigang, you can’t deny its appeal as it goes well with a hefty serving of rice.

“With its sour lightness perfectly matching the harsh tropical heat of the country, sinigang is a unique soup that is a true representative of Filipino cuisine,” TasteAtlas said.

Sinigang is cooked with sliced onions, tomatoes, string beans, kangkong, and eggplant, among other vegetables.
