“I went to Mirrdo Piercing on February 14 2023 to get my bridge pierced. I had wanted the piercing for a while and was just looking for the right piercer to help me get it done. I was pleasantly surprised by the good reviews so I decided to go there to get it done. The woman who was piercing me was super nice and polite. It took her a while for her to draw on my face and when she pierced she pierced it very crooked. So it had to be taken out and pierced again. One side through the same hole in and the other a few mm underneath the other hole. It seemed straight and I was happy with the result. She gave me a spray for the aftercare and I payed I think 60-80€ and left the shop. After 4 weeks I came back to change the piercing and that’s where all the problems went downhill. My piercing had already developed red bumps and crusts even tho I was cleaning it twice a day with a spray on the cotton swaps and gently cleaning the sides but after I had my smaller bar in my piercing would never heal. I spent six months and 5 aftercare spray bottles trying to save my piercing at all cost. Regularly coming back to the studio asking what was wrong. Every time I went there I was told new aftercare tips, like cleaning the piercing 6-7 times a day! Since I had no other facial piercing and this was my first I was so confused with all the different tips she was giving me. Nothing helped. It got so badly infected that the infection stayed for 4 months until I finally took the piercing out. Going to a studio in Schiedam (Yankee Tattoo) I asked for a second opinion cause all the tips from my piercer hadn’t helped and it was not getting better. The piercer at Yankee Tattoo told me I had to take it out since it was placed wrongly and the piercing was migrating outwards. So it would’ve fallen out of my face if I hadn’t taken it out. I was quite disappointed to say the least. Having spent so much on the piercing that already started a) crooked and b) having to be pierced twice to then having a piercing that NEVER healed in 6 months and I kept buying aftercare piercing spray. Now I pierced my bridge again at Yankee Tattoo and the piercing is worlds away from where my other scars are. After three days now I barely feel it in my face and no crust or red bumps developed. I also have aftercare that is specific to my dry skin type since the spray was only drying my skin even further. I am so beyond disappointed in Mirrdo in their lack of knowledge and experience when it comes to the bridge piercing and how they treated it like it was my fault for not taking proper care of it. There was literally nothing I could do. The wrong placement irritated my skin so much it would’ve never healed but they never admitted to their mistake. Their tips for aftercare were harmful, telling me to clean my piercing up to 7 times a day, completely destroying my skin next to the wound. If you want a bridge piercing DO NOT GO THERE. Go to Yankee Tattoo :) (edit: I can’t post pictures of my badly infected piercing cause Google doesn’t seem to like it, just lemme tell you it was BAD)”
